September 26, 2018 – MECHANICSBURG, Pa.CSA Guidance Consulting won an $8.8 million recompete contract to provide the Navy with supply chain management, procurement, data validation and analysis services.

All work will support Naval Supply System Command Weapon System Support (NAVSUP WSS) in a data cleansing effort designed to streamline the agency’s financial and logistics operations. CSA’s analysts will measure and evaluate the current system’s effectiveness to identify anomalies, interface disconnects and potential problem areas.

“Over the years, our team has provided NAVSUP WSS with unprecedented value,” said Jimmie Rice, CSA’s program manager under this task. “Through process assessments, improvement strategies and a focus on creating high-performing teams, we not only reduced system errors by 96% but also lessened the size of the team needed to accomplish the mission. Applying digital process innovation strategies that are low-cost and high-impact has allowed our client to increase the fleet’s operational readiness.”

This is CSA’s third win for this contract supporting NAVSUP WSS’s supply chain process. After first winning the contract in 2013, CSA implemented a metric, weight-based analytical technique to improve and fix the existing asset tracking process. Today, CSA will continue to monitor the process and introduce process improvement strategies to further streamline asset visibility and inventory accuracy as needed.

Work will be performed in Philadelphia. The contract is expected to be completed in September 2022.
