May 19, 2020 – SAN DIEGO. As part of an ongoing effort to support communities around the United States amid the unprecedented impact of the novel coronavirus, COVID-19, CSA and CSA employees donated more than $10,000 to support community food bank response efforts.
CSA Community Outreach, CSA’s philanthropic organization, coordinated a donation campaign with local food banks in areas where CSA has an office. Each food bank will distribute funds to local member food banks in high need areas across the United States to help feed children and families impacted by the current, and potentially extended, school closures and employment disruptions as a result of the COVID-19 epidemic.
“In these difficult times of navigating this pandemic, it is important that we come together as a company to help the most vulnerable members of our communities,” said Jennifer Balfour, CSA Community Outreach President. “As a company, we are extending our community outreach program to address childhood hunger and food availability issues during this crisis. We are grateful for the partnership with Feeding America San Diego, Capital Food Bank, Philly Abundance and Hops Kids Corp on this critical issue, which has the potential to affect children and their families deeply.”
