Amy Bleken is chief executive officer of CSA headquartered in Virginia Beach, Virgina. Ms. Bleken has more than two decades of experience in the information systems, technology services and mission support industries, with more than 15 years in executive management. She became CEO in 2021 and serves on CSA’s Board of Directors. She joined the company in 2019 and previously held the executive position of chief operating officer.
Prior to joining CSA, Amy served as an executive leader in two global industry-leading firms, most recently as the chief growth officer for an operating division under Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII), formerly Camber Corporation, and senior vice president for the defense agency programs (DAP) business unit at CGI Federal. These positions of trust and responsibility included strategic growth augmented by acquisitions and integration, operational excellence, and leadership development.
In 2014, Ms. Bleken was referred and hired as CEO and a member of the Board of Directors for Buchanan and Edwards (BE), a firm totaling $85M and 300 employees at the time. While serving as CEO, BE was awarded the Helios Apollo award for culture, nominated for the GovCon Awards $75–300M category and was named one of Washington Post’s “Best Places to Work” for two consecutive years. Leading the strategic plan and transforming the graduated small business into a mid-sized company, Amy was responsible for directing an innovative and dynamic team that specialized in the development and integration of technology solutions and management services. She used selective commercial partnerships and BE’s communities of practice and capabilities to grow a wider federal client base.
Ms. Bleken served in the U.S. Army for eight years as a logistical supply specialist and was Air Assault qualified. She was stationed at Fort Drum, New York; Fort Lewis, Washington; and was deployed to Haiti in Operation Uphold Democracy. She used her G.I. Bill benefits to attend community colleges in her neighboring duty stations. Amy holds a MA in Management Information Systems and a BS in Business Administration with a minor in Computer Science. She also received certificates in Leadership Best Practices from Harvard Business School and Driving Business Growth & Innovations from Darden School of Business.
