MECHANICSBURG, Pa. – The U.S. Navy awarded CSA Guidance Consulting a SeaPort Next Generation (SeaPort-NxG) indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract. This 10-year contract enables CSA to bid on over $50B of opportunities for program management, financial management and engineering support services. CSA was one of 1,870 businesses awarded the opportunity to compete for individual task orders under the multiple award contract (MAC).SeaPort-NxG is the next iteration of the services contracting vehicle SeaPort-e. The new MAC can be utilized by all of the Navy's major commands and agencies, except for Naval Air Systems Command, which has elected its own services contracting vehicle.“For the past 10 years, SeaPort-e has been one of CSA’s most valuable contract vehicles,” said Jay Heroux, CSA’s Executive Vice President “Through the SeaPort contract, we have been able to help the government experience more than a 500 percent return on investment for the services they acquired through CSA. That’s about $1.2 billion in cost savings, cost avoidance and recaptured excess funds – giving our clients more flexibility to focus on what’s most important to them. We’re excited about this next era of Navy under SeaPort-NxG as we continue our focus on productivity, speed to the fleet and showing clients that solutions to their needs are closer than they think.”There are two broad categories identified in SeaPort-NxG’s scope of work: engineering and program management services. Within these categories, there are 23 functional areas including systems engineering, software development, research and development, system design documentation and technical data, financial analysis, quality assurance, configuration management, information technology and logistics support.DoD estimates the government will procure $5B worth of services annually through SeaPort-NxG, which contains a five-year base period of performance and a five-year ordering period option. The Navy will begin to use the MAC to award task orders at the beginning of the fiscal year 2019.About CSAFor more than fifteen years, federal defense leaders have turned to CSA to solve their toughest challenges.
