CSA Partnership with Make-A-Wish Mid-Atlantic Surpasses $100,000 in Donations
VIRGINIA BEACH, Va., July 23, 2024—CSA announces that its 2024 partnership with Make-A-Wish® Mid-Atlantic has successfully raised over $63,000 to support Operation Dream Maker. This initiative, dedicated to granting wishes for children facing critical illnesses whose parents or guardians serve or have served in the military, has seen CSA contribute more than $103,000 to date.
"Supporting future generations and our veterans are two of CSA’s giving pillars, and Operation Dream Maker allows us to live our pillars," said Amy Bleken, CSA CEO. "Our employees raised $63,000, showcasing the compassion and commitment that demonstrates the kind of people working here at CSA—a community that cares about positively impacting the world."
Since 2021, Bleken has been an advocate for Make-A-Wish Mid-Atlantic’s Operation Dream Maker. In 2023, she enhanced the partnership by initiating an employee-giving campaign, fostering a sense of collective responsibility among the CSA workforce. The success of this campaign now serves as a model for other companies to engage in Operation Dream Maker.
“On behalf of Make-A-Wish Mid-Atlantic, I want to extend our deepest gratitude to Client Solution Architects for their remarkable fundraising efforts,” said Lesli Creedon, CEO of Make-A-Wish Mid-Atlantic. “By raising over $60,000, they have made a significant impact in supporting Operation Dream Maker. Team CSA’s unwavering commitment and generosity help bring hope and joy to these deserving kids and their families. Thank you for making dreams come true."
To date, CSA employees have donated more than $110,000 to Operation Dream Maker, granting the wishes of seven children whose parents or guardians serve or have served in the military. About Operation Dream Maker
Operation Dream Maker gives hope and joy to the children of our nation’s heroes. This special fund provides wishes to kids with critical illnesses whose parents and guardians serve, or have served, in the military. In addition to the uncertainty and fear of facing a childhood illness, the families of our military members have the added stress of their service - including deployments and frequent moves. The fund is used to grant wishes annually to kids whose parents or guardians are serving or have served in the military. In addition, the Operation Dream Maker fund recognizes the inspirational power of military leaders by supporting the military-related wishes of all families.
Wishes provide a unique moment of joy and bring families together during challenging times. Ninety-six percent of parents say the wish experience strengthened their family. Wishes also have profound impacts on the medical outcomes for the child - 89% of surveyed nurses, doctors, social workers and child life specialists believe wishes can positively influence physical health.
