CSA Announces Make-A-Wish® Mid-Atlantic Partnership through Operation Dream Maker
VIRGINIA BEACH, Va., August 24, 2023—CSA proudly announces its strategic partnership with Make-A-Wish® Mid-Atlantic, the renowned charity dedicated to granting transformative wishes for children facing critical illnesses. The collaboration will focus on Operation Dream Maker, a unique initiative to actualize the dreams of children whose families are actively serving in the military, are in reserves, or have served as veterans. This partnership resonates with CSA's community-centric vision and mirrors the values held by its veteran-majority workforce.
Amy Bleken, CEO of CSA, commented on the new partnership: "Corporate responsibility is about understanding the role we play in society and the impact we can make on the lives around us. As a business, we have a unique position to uplift and empower the communities we serve. This partnership is our way of giving back to the military families who give so much to us and the country we love. We are building bridges of empathy, gratitude and support, and we do this through the beautiful wishes we help grant and the dreams that come true. That's our commitment. That's our responsibility."
Central to this partnership's success is the involvement of CSA employees. During the company’s 2023 Summer of Giving campaign, CSA encouraged employee participation through the creation of regional teams with monetary goals, converting the spirit of friendly competition into tangible good. CSA's executive leadership magnified this force for change, playing a hands-on role and further emphasizing the organization's commitment to positive societal impact.
As part of the partnership to support Operation Dream Maker, CSA's 2023 goal was to fulfill two dreams. So far, CSA and its employees have raised more than $45,000 to grant three wishes to Charlotte, Emma and Jackson.
“Thank you to CSA’s support of our military wish families,” said Lesli Creedon, Make-A-Wish Mid-Atlantic, President and CEO. “$45,000 toward Operation Dream Maker is going to move the needle on how quickly we can grant some of these deserving and brave children their life-transforming wish. The success of your CSA’s employee giving campaign surpassed any we have ever done – and is now a model we are using to engage other companies.”
