CSA to attend 2018 AFCEA Army Signal Conference to discuss adapt-and-buy tactics
March 5, 2018—TYSONS CORNER, Va.—CSA | Guidance Consulting is headed to the 2018 AFCEA Army Signal Conference on Tuesday, March 6 through 9 at the Waterford at Springfield.
This conference will be a forum for government, industry and academia to discuss and better understand the opportunities and expectations of the U.S. Army’s new “adapt and buy” process. The adapt-and-buy tactic will let the Army more quickly insert relevant technologies into its programs by shifting its industry technology acquisition process from overprescribing requirements to articulating intent.
“The Army’s acquisition strategy shift is unprecedented,” said Jay Heroux, CSA Executive Vice President. “Now even more than ever, the Army will require capabilities that are survivable, protected, intuitive, interoperable, and most importantly mobile. The coordination between government and industry will be paramount to understand this shift, and AFCEA has given us a forum to begin to prepare for the 2019 pivot.”
The 2018 AFCEA Army Signal Conference will feature expanded government participation, industry solution presentations and networking opportunities that are designed to deliver more value to attendees from all sectors. The conference will be held at Waterford at Springfield, 6715 Commerce Street, Springfield, Virginia 22150. For more information visit afcea.org.
