Rob Savarese

Northeast Regional Director

Rob Savarese is CSA’s Northeast Regional Director. He provides leadership to a diverse range of complex contracts across the Defense Logistics Agency, Naval Air Warfare Center and Naval Supply Systems CommandRob works with CSA’s consulting teams to guide and empower them to apply innovative approaches, technologies and solutions to solve clients’ challenges. 

Having received his electrical engineering degree from Stevens Institute of Technology, Rob began his career in 1987 as a civil engineer/GS-5 working for the Brooklyn VA Hospital where he contributed to several projects including the installation of new phone systems.  

In March of 1988, Rob began his Air Force career by entering Undergraduate Pilot Training at Williams AFB, AZ. Upon graduation he was assigned to Loring AFB as a KC-135R pilot from 1989 to 1992 and flew multiple combat support missions supporting Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm. In 1992 Rob was selected to fly the KC-10, Strategic Air Command’s premier air refueling platform at March AFB, CA. In the following years, Rob flew dozens of combat support and humanitarian missions, receiving the Air Force’s Aerial Achievement medal twice. Rob finished his military career as Flight Commander, 621st Air Mobility Squadron, McGuire AFB, NJ. 

In 1999 Rob separated from active duty and returned to the engineering field. At Photocircuits, a midlevel regional manufacturer of printed circuit boards, Rob led 36 CAD/CAM operators and programmers in NY, Atlanta, GA and Costa Rica adapting customer printed circuit board specifications to current manufacturing processes. Rob led the initiative to enhance and adapt CAD/CAM procedures for expanded international operations and as a result the improvements doubled CAD/CAM throughput within six months. 

In 2001 Rob began a 17-year career in Database Engineering working for Oracle, Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) and CSA. He was the lead database developer/engineer at CSC for several projects and prototypes on the next generation Global Decision Support System (GDSS) application for Air Mobility Command (AMC). This application provides unit-level and force-level mission planning, scheduling and tracking of all mobility airlift and air refueling missions for AMC. In 2013 Rob joined CSA and soon after became project manager for DLA’s BidWiser application, a workflow application enabling operation of the “Part Number/Prime Vendor Competitive Bidding” business model in DLA’s Construction & Equipment (C&E) supply chain. BidWiser supports close to $5 billion dollars in part-numbered items yearly as a critical system for DLA.   

Rob was promoted to Senior Director of Operations in September of 2018, placing him in charge of all regional operations in the Northeast. 

Rob resides in Marlton, NJ with his wife Pam who is working toward her master’s degree in Special Education and his youngest son Matthew who is finishing up his Computer Science degree at Rutgers University. Rob’s oldest son Chris is happily married and living in Springfield, OH where he is an operations manager. Rob enjoys distance running and has completed the Boston Marathon twice. You can also catch him on the weekends playing video games with his boys.
