Kent Michaelis, in his role as the Chief Operating Officer, is responsible first and foremost for client delivery, supported by CSA’s cadre of professional associates and business partners. This responsibility entails a variety of supporting actions, to include personnel growth and development; financial management and compliance (task-oriented and internal budgets); contractual compliance; business development; and the development of client and partner relationships. As the COO, he is primarily an operationally focused professional utilizing seasoned leadership, communication, and team building skills to bring value to the client.
A 20-year Navy veteran, Kent has over 20 years of operations and management experience with fifteen years of executive level project management expertise in supply chain logistics, facilities maintenance, manpower and personnel, and financial management business areas. During his time at CSA, he spent his first three and half years growing the Pennsylvania offices in Mechanicsburg and Philadelphia; the next three years he served as the Director of Operations for the East Coast, before becoming CSA’s COO in 2013.
Kent received his BS in Applied Mathematics from the University of Florida. He also has his MS in Engineering Management from Old Dominion University, MS in Operations Research, Naval Postgraduate School, and his MA in International Security and Strategic Studies from Naval Postgraduate School.
Kent enjoys reading historical fiction and military-based novels as well as walking. His favorite sports team is the Florida Gators!
