Mr. Jay Heroux is CSA’s Chief Sales & Marketing Officer (CSMO). He is responsible for establishing and executing the sales and growth strategy for CSA. Jay started his CSA career in 2009 as CSA’s Director of Strategy and Client Development where he designed and implemented many of CSA’s business development and sales processes. He worked to expand the CSA team into new clients in the federal government and commercial markets.
In 2011, Jay began working as a Healthcare Client Executive and Product Manager at Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE). He worked with several healthcare clients such as the Department of Veterans Affairs and the Defense Health Agency as well as other federal health IT agencies. In this role, Jay worked on healthcare initiatives such the Electronic Health Record modernizations at VA and DoD, as well as modernization of the VA Medical Appointment Scheduling system.
From 2015 until early 2017, Jay was the HPE Program Manager for HPE’ s five-year contract with the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to provide information technology services to run the federal Health Insurance Marketplace, www.healthcare.gov. This system included all the financial, security, verification, insurance plan management, and analytic systems used on the federal marketplace. HPE was hired by CMS after the first year of healthcare.gov in 2014. Jay worked with the HPE and CMS teams to help guide the 2016 and 2017 open enrollments in the United States to the highest reliability of the healthcare.gov website. The HPE team’s commitment to excellence enabled over millions of Americans to sign-up for private health insurance. In addition, Jay led sales efforts to transform HPE services from traditional application hosting services to state of the art cloud and composable infrastructure services.
Jay has a B.S. in Public Administration from Stonehill College, in Massachusetts. Jay will be working out of CSA’s Tysons Corner office, but will also be spending time at all of CSA’s office locations and meeting clients and partners. Jay is happily married to his wife, Jill, and has three sons, Alex, Zachary, and Nicholas. Jay enjoys hockey, hunting, fishing, and spending time volunteering in his community.
