Jason Cox joined CSA in 2010 and is CSA’s Director of Information Technology. In this role, Jason is responsible for supporting the technical needs of CSA employees and ensuring technical initiatives are in direct support of CSA’s strategic plan.
Jason is a U.S. Navy veteran and served as a non-commissioned officer in the field of Electronic Warfare. Prior to joining CSA, Jason managed numerous IT projects in the newspaper industry and worked numerous projects that have required specialized experience in programming languages, network administration and research and development. Jason’s IT management has been focused on audit controls, process improvement, operation administration, application support, and project management.
With more than 20 years of IT experience, Jason can be attributed for CSA’s IT department as it exists today, including the implementation of ITIL methodology that successfully allowed CSA to achieve an ISO/IEC 20000 certification. While at CSA, Jason has conducted e-mail platform migration, developed a Service Desk system and process, and removed costly legacy applications, replacing them with more efficient and scalable options.
Jason earned his BS in Business Administration and MBA from DeVry University. Jason is not a native San Diegan, but he’s happy to call it home thanks to his wife Stephanie and stepson Ryan.
