The Coast Guard picked 12 companies in the full-and-open portion of its $11 billion Technical, Acquisition and Business Support Services contract. According to a letter sent from the Coast Guard to the winning contractors, the service received 47 bids for spots in domain 1, track 1.
Earlier this year, the Coast Guard announced all small-business awards in all three domains. This is the first set of awards in the full-and-open portion for TABSS procurement in domain 1, track 1. Domain 1 is for program management, engineering and technology expertise. The other two domains cover business management, studies and analysis and cost; and acquisition, contracts management and administrative professional services.
The TABSS contract has an $11 billion combined (all TABSS awardees) maximum ceiling over the next five-years and was issued by the United States Coast Guard for use across all DHS component organizations. The TABSS contract will provide DHS customers with the services needed to assist with the cross-organizational mission of protecting our homeland, deterring crime, detecting and countering terrorism, and the myriad of other critical responsibilities.
